Visoni Poster Art - a UNIQUE collection

We are sure you will enjoy viewing these poster reproductions extracted from our current catalogue. They have been produced from our archival collection of posters. Several are by famous artists of the era, such as Giacometti, Baumberger, Cardineaux, Kirschner and the cartoonist Cuno Amiet. We have included in this collection many fascinating original vintage posters, some dating back to the last century. Many of the original posters have been framed in handcrafted and decorated frames worthy of such noble images. With the passing of time, they have become historic collectors items of considerable appreciating value.

Our posters have been reproduced to the very highest standards of quality (given the often fragile and scarce original material available to us). This has been a slow and delicate process. We have taken a lot of trouble to make sure the results match faithfully the originals, both in colour and detail. Having many of the original posters in our vintage collection has helped us to ensure a stunning and positive result. The Skill of the artist and the vibrant use of colour add style and adventure to any decorative theme.

The original posters were produced in limited quantities, for their specific promotion of the day. Sadly this was the end of the road for what was an excellent piece of artistic work. Having collected vintage posters since the 1960s, we decided it was high time that these beautiful works were seen once again. Their value as an art form goes beyond the visual perspective, since for many of us they evoke memories of our travels, and for some the nostalgia of childhood. The subjects provide us with an informative and historical insight of the life and times of the late 19th and early 20th century; note the fashion and transportation of the period. Now that commercial artistry has been replaced by computer generated and photographic images, the poster art of this period provided the inspiration for the Visoni Poster Art Gallery.
